can anyone help me on shell script :

my situation is  if IF condition is true the ENV variable should be stored with dev/test/prod value.

name_dev_file.txt  for dev environment

name_test_file.txt for test environment

 

a="/mappings/name_dev_file.txt"; 
ENV=""
if [[ ${a,,} =~ 'dev' ]]; then
echo "Environment is $ENV "

elif  [[ ${a,,} =~ 'test ' ]]; then
echo "Environment is $ENV "

elif  [[ ${a,,} =~ 'prod' ]]; then
echo "Environment is $ENV "

else echo 'Not dev/test/prod environment'; fi
