Emirates will not be offering ‘Hindu non-vegetarian’ meal preference for economy class passengers, though business and first class passengers will continue to get the facility. The meal does not have beef.

Emirates has sent out an email to passengers stating that economy class travellers will not will be able to select the ‘Hindu meal’ preference while booking the flights from July 1. The Hindu meal service in economy class would be discontinued in October.

Several passengers took to Twitter to complain. Emirates, while confirming the amendments, told the passengers that the airline would offer Hindu meals in first and business class cabins.

why?

nenu vellina flights lo what i have seen is..lot of confusion and some people not able to get food.

ex: there is a Hindu vegetarian guy who pre-books his meal. so hindu meal priority shud be given to him kada.

kaani what i saw was emirates crew dont go through that precendence order and start handing out food. in that process, book cheskoni vallu kuda who eat meat, end up taking up that pre-booked meal.

asalu book chesinodiki adi raadu, and he cannot eat other meat food. in such cases he had to starve (without rice or food) even after paying.

a example lo manolle chala exploit chestaru and godava padtaru kuda ivvandi ani.

i think to avoid such conflict they wanted to remove.

kaani hindu meal lo Chicken and Goat untadi..i dont know why they are taking it out.

atleast I never face this situation when I prebook a meal... on most of the middle east airlines, pre book chesukunte, munde seperate ga istharu techi... Not that I care about veg or nv, but I prebook most of the times and got it always prior to regular service seperately...

May be to reduce that extra effort from cabin crew(to sort and serve seperately) they might be removing it.

adi inko baada le, as by the time you finish andariki appude food vasthundi, malli hungry avtham aa smell ki :P
