India will continue to import from Iran, US can and will not be in a position to impose sanctions on India. all it will do it sabre rattling for a while to see india bends

Iranian oil is the best crude in the world, US is trying to make india buy oil from US, US may give a sweet deal to make india buy from US, US shale oil is the worst crude  due to sedimentation and low shelf life, it will be operational nightmare for indian refineries

this is a question of national sovereignty and india will not bow in the current form, US will also exert pressure on S400 defense deal we have with Russia

If India bends on one front, it has to bend on all fronts.. i still believe india does not need to come under US pressure in 2018 when it never bowed earlier in 1999

If India was under congress, india would have bowed to US pressure. I am sure Modi will not bend to US pressure, BJP has proved in the past that they will not allow extenral pressure at any cost during nuclear deal

Iran is giving the best crude in cheapest possible prices, getting away from this deal means cost of fuel prices will increase

2019 elections lo prices peragakodadu if BJP wants to win elections, they will show middle finger to US temporarily

once they come back to power, its a different picture, things may cool down by then

india should play hard ball with both USA and iran, importing oil is in india's benefit so shouldnt stop that and at the same time should try to assauge USA , it needs some deft handling. lets see.

another thing in indan govt plan is to buy every thing from iran in direct rupees and not dollar. big benefit for india if this materialises

this way the rupees that iran gets from india form oil sale can only be used to buy indian goods. so our exports will also increase
