His last day of I-94 + 240 days --> Legal to Work and stay after 240 days --> Illegal to work and but some grace period to stay (guess 15 days) Quote

Grace period undadu..... adi oka misconception. Leave within 10 days after the denial notice is in your hands to avoid serious repercussions in the future. Usually if you are here for a longer time you will have to provide a reasonable explanation like kids school, car sale, rental lease break etc when asked in future, if you have a reason that is genuine and would satisfy the officers (Visa or CBP) you could stay here but if thats longer than 180 days then bar could be placed on re entry. Also with new NTA rule he might be at risk if he recieves an NTA, i would suggest initiate consular process for extension and leave ASAP. Quote
