RunRaajaRun123 Posted July 20, 2018 Report Posted July 20, 2018 Basmathi rice has less Glycemic Index than regular white rice. Brown version of any rice has arsenic and phytic acid( vitamin absorption inhibhitor) it's better to eat white basmathi rice in limited quantities, to reduce GI of rice, don't eat piping hot rice, after cooking the rice cool it in the fridge an heat it again or add coconut oil while cooking it, this will create resistant starch and reduce the GI of the rice. 1 Quote

People don't eat brown rice for it's nutrients, they eat to reduce insulin spike which is common with white rice. 1 Quote
