basically contracts untay annattu okka contract is equal to 100 shares 

 

so you call a share ante you believe that the share will go up so instead of buying 100 shares you buy a contract and each contract has a premium 

 

ninna FB undi kada adi call ante each share was at 200 you say share will go up 210 after earnings ani nuvvu nammithe you will pay a premium of 500$ anuko for strike price 210 nee paisal neeku ravalante atleast stock 215 povali with this premium included and after that for each 1$ increase in the share you will get 100$ oka velapoledanuko like ninna case you will lose that premium and that will become worth less 

 

Same with Put reverse nuvvu stock thagguthadi annav so you said it will go 190 you pay 500 so if it goes 185 you are even then after that entha poyina you get 100 for each $ it goes down so fb 175 open ayindi you get 1000$

basically  puts and calls are for options not for stock... so your basically betting underlying stock to either go up or down within some firday (some stocks have only 3rd friday as expiration)..... going up meaning you buy calls going down meaning by puts ...

this is basic if you want more details like contracts type of options strategies only experience and losing some money  can get you there
