uttermost Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 arundhati roy is wrong in the way everyone is wrong.. you, me, every single person who ever set foot on earth. wrong, and sometimes hypocritical. but she's not evil, in the way some authoritarians are. She doesn't fight or hasn't yet fought to subjugate people. so even if she's dumbshit in several areas she talks about, she's a decent primer to all of them. btw, there are several dalit scholars who've spoken of ambedkar in a much better way than Arundhati Roy who sees it from the uppercaste angle. but I can't think of names. hehe.. Kancha ilaiah can be a more authentic place to know about ambedkar, even if he's not dalit. I don't know about dalit scholars. Its a shame that uppercaste people have occupied dalit opinion space too Quote
