earth went through mass extinctions many times. present living species are < 1% of all the species that existed before and went extinct. life will find a way. no worries.

everyone blames humans but i think they are the ones who will stop a mass extinction from happening...like stopping a comet from hitting earth etc. I think we are moving towards more sustainable development . some example of good developments are - ozone layer almost healed , moving towards replacing gasoline with electric , world population flattening etc. 

so hope for the best.
