they should offer you until then don task. usually they should not feel comfortable to take every day rides freely.

we were living in same building and same office ki ellali. vaadu car payment+insurance+gas adigadu share annadu which is ~300

option leka katta oka 2 months and then car konukunna. 

after that i gave ride to many people but never took money.
