But in reality, too, Turkey was the hope of the middle east. Had a stable government, democratically elected, the economy was a strong defense force. 

Compared to middle east Islamic nations, Turkey relatively has liberal face value and good business outreach.

They just constructed the world's largest airport.

Reality lo most islamic nations will try to follow their religion explicitly, valla madarsas/schools lo education is mostly leaning towards it..theres no stopping. maybe last 20yrs before varaku different though process undedi emo vallaki, but offlate all islamic nations are similar in ideology

Yes, they do follow the similar traditions but when it comes to education, they were exposed to modern education and no one enforces religious laws. You have a choice. and Turkey is a member of the Europen Union. If Turkey had such tough religious laws, then it would probably not have been member of the group.
