Who told. Amendment anna extend anna same process like H1 petition.  You will get new I-797A approval document with case number  

New I-797A issue ayindi ante bottom page lo I-94 untadi. If bottom lo I-94 ledante I-797B ayi untadi appudu country bayataku velli stamping esukoni ravali then POE daggara i-94 issue chestaru.

Amendment taruvata taggindi kada validity to 2018 so previous validity is no more valid only i94 will be valid so extension is required. In this case i94 valid kabatti MTR or new application vesukovachu.

So extension 3 years vachinattu no use if this is the case

It was like that from years. Naku happened in 2015 2017 every year i applied for amendment or extension from 2014.  Twice my validity from 3 yrs became 1 yr because of amendment. Thata ki denito em sambandham ledu.

Amendment approve ayinappudu I-797A tho new I-94 kooda same date varaku issue chesi untaru which is March 2018. uscis issue chesina I-94 kada I-797A tho. Every time petition approve ayithe it over rides or supercedes previous one. Some times Amendment approve ayaka previous validity kante ekkuva duration kooda vastadi if amendment and extension kalipi apply cheste.

Nope they consider previous one. I am sure about this as i was in this situation. I got drivers license too based on my previous extension i94 when recent amendment expired and went for tempoary license with new petition reciept. They consider previous i94 but not h1b approval validity.

Attorney ni adigindi better status untado ledo. Drivers license office lo unde employees ki sariga teliyavu ee rules some times specially ila amendmemt lo validity thaggadam avanni. TS attorney ni adigithe better status unda leda ani.  Amendment antene previous approved petition lo modifications chesi over ride cheyadam.

I am not saying to go by me but saying i have gone through that. Naku attorney ney cheppadu you can go and get license based on prev extension i94 will be valid ani.  No one goes by suggestions in DB anyways all the process should be initiated by attorney whether he want new petition MTR or confirm if he has to leave.
