no, but re invested everything back into all his companies...

current climate of hostility against musk and Tesla, that the shorts have created is disgusting. Tesla is a winning horse, and Musk is a miracle worker.

Musk thinks that he can solve all problems, and in that, he is not different from any other company CEO.

investing everything back into his company is not the same as giving stake to all his employees. Or even allow them to create a union to better negotiate working conditions with him.

If he fails, the entire blame is on him. Its the environment he created for himself.

blame or fame he is solely responsible for most of the stuff around his companies...

my only point with that reply is to tell you that he is not money hungry (your profit sharing comment made me think you assumed he is money hungry)... so i was pointing out that he is not trying to fill his deep pockets...  rather use that money to fuel his passion

Tesla has a good battery technology and electric car technology. He is such an idiot to market this product by himself. There are specialists and automobile stalwarts in the market who doesn't have this tech. Better to supply this tech to automakers, make money and fund the innovation. Anthekani, battery naade, car naade ante migita players emana chutiye galla ? thikki 10gestharu and eventually tesla will loose its first mover advantage which I believe has already lost.

in the next 2-3 years, just look at other auto makers and their electric car line up....it would have been tesla's technology in those cars but thanks to Elon Musk, he just killed his company.

lol..evadu neeku sepindi electric car technology ledu vere companies dagara ani...Fiat, GM and some companies have it...all they dont have is the battery tech and storage capability

His intention may be good. but its not the optimum solution for the society.

practically.. a bright kid with one-tenth that money will create more value than Musk can. and a ten thousand bright kids will revolutionize the future.

betting it all on Musk is not productive. he's not that efficient. Nobody is.

Anyway, even if he fails, he has kickstarted electric cars, and that's more than 99.99% people on earth can boast about. He got funded on an idea that nobody cared about, and it takes real skill to sell those stuff to bankers.

electric car tech is not that complex compared to ICE.

Electric car tech is like making a laptop with RISC based Single board computers.

most garage tinkerers can do it. Writing efficient firmware may be the hardest part.

no single idea is optimum slution for the society,.... its just another step towards it

being bright or less bright doesnt help unless they implement that brightness into action like musk did

wrong.. how is he not productive? tsk tsk spacex

then those steps will be criticized in an eternal search for optimum solutions. no other way.

bright kids aren't always articulate. Musk is not the kind of  bright kid who created the reflective displays we use on ereaders now. He's the bright kid who knows how to impress bankers.

What has spacex achieved that NASA already hasn't?

Innovation happens only under collaboration, and not in private companies, as much as companies like google, Tesla want us to believe.

armchair critics' opinions need to be take with a pinch of salt

yeah but not being articulate and not doing anything doesnt help if you are bright

efficiency?

not sure what this means

I have big doubts on the reality of Green savings of Electric cars.... this is just like spending non-renewable energy in bulk at electric generation instead of vehicle level...

The next war will be between Oil and Battery ...

The criticism I'm talking about, and the one you are probably referring to are different. If you think they are the same, then you didn't understsand what I'm trying to say.

I said that Elon Musk is a product of our economic system. cornering all the glory, and profit for himself to experiment on his personal fantasies. He's neither breaking new ground in terms of tech, nor is making a profit (although in time, he will make profit for his shareholders given how smartly he has packaged Tesla brand), and is actually biting the hand that fed him, by taking on wall st.

brightness is for brightness sakes. It helps to be bright, and to notice how easy life is for you, when everyone is struggling around you.

Electric cars are probably a fad. unless there's radical improvement in battery tech, or recycling tech, Lithium is even more scarce than oil.

that is to be expectd as a company. but for innovation, it still is public funded research labs.

No CEO is great enough to marshall his people to be consistently innovative. human beings have limits. especially people working in companies, tend to lose their creativity and innovative drive. Even if they work in google.
