500Cr is different..and Army doesnt get paid separately for disaster help..its their duty to help.

and it wont get billed to the state where they are helping...

Center will pay for it. And the soldiers who engaged in it will also be. Unless you have breakup of how much goes where, I'm going to assume that the money that goes to army is included in the grant announced.

army folks would have been getting paid , warming their chairs even if there wasnt such  a relief event going on

NCRF dwara funding chestaru Central Govt vallu during such calamities.

75% funding from Center and 25% from the state. and each state is required to maintain this account according to financial planning guidelines.

so as part of that 75% additional 500Cr will be granted to that account in this case.

so all the book keeping is handled in that way.

but sad part is in India expenditure during these calamities is not accountable....so State politicians and Bureaucrats take advantage of this and fill up coffers...

Cyclone is different thing..and floods are other...

in this case..they made sure minimal human life damage is done and evacuated people from affected areas

but imagine...what they can do when 34 out of 39 dams in the states are overflowing...whom will they protect..

Cyclone concentrates only one-two district at max...this is whole state....

not degrading CBNs work during HudHud..he did great job..

but same technique cannot be applied here...
