I came to US as early as 2000 and getting green card wasn’t this crazy for me. As a US citizen, I am telling you, this country doesn’t deserve hardworking people like you. If even after 20–30 years of Indians’ contribution to US tech industry, they don’t want to take special action to improve the immigration mess, maybe you should help some other country to become strong in Tech. I am not saying they should accept every H1B as a permanent resident easily but atleast the ones with an MS or PhD degree in US universities (taking huge loans) should be offered shorter path to immigration. Some people might think i should not be saying this as a US citizen, but guess what, the forefathers of this country didn’t want it to be like this. It’s the stupid politicians and their tug of war that’s spoiling the meaning of American dream. Several top companies like Amazon, Google etc have opened offices in Toronto in the past few years. If many Indians decide to move to Canada or other countries and this becomes a trend, they will be forced to take action to keep US tech industry competitive. I am only saying this in the best interest of US. Quote
