recently one of my cousin who went to India after 8 years. she is a GC holder and on way back to India, she was taking all her jewellery so that she can exchange for newer models...shamshabad la digangane kusapetinaru customs vallu...they demanded bills and everything...poor girl she did not even have her aadhar and PAN number which further raised eye brows and literally held for 6-7 hours in customs interrogation and eventually all her jewellery was with held with customs...she paid almost 2 lakhs as part of taxes and fines for not having receipts and bills, not having tax statements and not furnished the jewelllery details...

dont do it..they will catch you and scratch you...just them melted and take

I think coins are risky ornaments picha light.

Agreed asalu coins konukoni velladam is no more a good idea. Cheyinchukunte ok which no one is doing these days. Machine made ornaments look more beautiful.
