Either you follow the doctor, or you can ask the doctor to update. 

 

I think you are fine as long as your HDL is also high (Just my opinion)

Easy Carbs is the main reason for LDL.

Reduce sugar, Rice, Wheat, Idli, Dosa, Upma. Take good fats Cheese, whole eggs, Almonds, avacado, flax etc.,
