Woman sets self ablaze in front of police station in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A woman attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze in front of Bowenpally police station here on Tuesday afternoon. The police suspect the woman, identified as Sabitha (25), a resident of Annanagar, could have attempted suicide due to personal problems.

Sabita who poured kersone and set herself ran out of the police station screaming when passersby and police personnel at the station noticed her. They rushed to her aid and using blankets and sheets put the fire out. An ambulance was called and she was shifted to Gandhi Hospital. According to doctors, she suffered 35 per cent burns.
