I don't support what Nike did. If you're running a company that is a Public company you don't get to choose what political side you take. Your shareholders entrusted you with running the company, you don't own it. Shareholders own the company. Companies should not take sides as your customers/shareholders  are from all political parties.

Kapernick should have chosen another form of protest instead of protesting the American flag. If these people(Athletes) don't like America, they should trade their citizenship with citizens of other countries.

On the other hand, if the current gambit makes Nike a ton of positive press coverage, and huge filip to its bottomline, its a remarkable move, and will be praised by shareholders of all political shades.

A president shouldn't take sides so publicly like Trump does too.. When the president does it, then its license for everybody else to do it.

he chose to protest in a way that'll give his stand the max leverage. He protested police excesses on blacks. He didn't protest US occuption of Texas, or some foreign policy of the US govt. How did people come to the conclusion that he was protesting the American flag?

if that were true, majority of southerners who fly the confederation flag, instead of the union one, should be boycotted too. Their careers destroyed, etc.
