DaleSteyn1 Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Six days after Telangana caretaker CM Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao dissolved the state assembly, sources have told Republic TV that Chandrababu Naidu could dissolve the Andhra Pradesh assembly in a week’s time as he wants the state elections to be clubbed with polls in Telangana. The political scoop has triggered speculations over early elections. Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh are due for elections soon, and now if Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu dissolves the assembly in one week, as told by the sources in TDP, there could be elections in five states instead of three. The Chief Election Commissioner’s statement came in the wake of members of KCR’s party meeting with EC chief in New Delhi, demanding the elections to take take place before the end of this year. Speaking exclusively to Republic TV, Rawat had said, "Election Commission got to know about the dissolution yesterday (Thursday) evening when our CEO informed about the notification. We will not go by astrological prediction or any assertion by any political party that election will be held, announcement will be held. All those things we are not going to take into account." Quote
