Why filing date chart is useless? I know people work on EADs for years and have lot more flexibility to change jobs and even run a business.

From last 20 bulletins uscis is not processing applications and giving EADs based on filing chart released by department of state. 

 

Uscis releasing its own bulletin based based on first final action chart after regular visa bulletin.

Eb3 overtaking Eb2 is a good sign. Indicates how violently all those suckers already ate (ported) Eb2 numbers all these days. At least, that crowd is gone. Now, EB2 can see a consistent advancement.
