Same like eb1 scenario you need for l1 gc filing

L1 to h1 you can change as long as you hit lottery

I know one family who got gc by l1

L1A as a manager GC file cheyochu. L1B no chance of GC. Wages can be low in this. Scrutiny more in this if employee works at client locations.

H1B we can apply eventually. Wages are high.

H1 mida benefit is more sal than L1 . 

L1 to H1 rejection chances too high. Almost next to impossible in current situations.

L1B gc nothing different than h1.. same EB3, EB2 categories.. they also stand along with h1 folks in queue.. only catch is they have a limit of 5 years. if they don't get gc by then go back to india.

That's why most of the companies with employees on L1 try to convert them into H1. If they change to H1, based on i140 they can go for 3 year extensions.

 

Only Advantage for L1 candidates is if they come on L1A.. they can file for gc under eb1 and get their gc.

if you are on L1-B, you can't move to a different Company. you can work on L-1B for a maximum of 5 years. you can either convert to H-1B in the meantime or you will have to leave the country (even if you initiate your GC within these 5 years). 

 

If you are coming on L-1A, you can apply for GC in EB1 and may get a GC quickly.
