hi, british airways lo via london travel cheste from india to usa with 1 stop in london airport, does the person need to have uk transit visa?........the person has valid us visa, so uk visa undala ledha avasaram ledha......

if you have a valid us visa stamp on your passport..no need of uk transit visa.

If you have a valid US stamping you dont need it.

If you have a valid 797 and expired visa, you need to apply for a Airside transit visa which takes about 12 Business days to process. it is pretty simple and straight forward process .

You need to post the documents to NY address for which you need to buy the shipping through them ( which makes your life easy).It is an over night UPS shipping service.

Please note that there will not be any bloody tracking for this.. so you jus have to keep your fingers cross until you get your passport shipped back to you.

If you really want to track the application they have Paid customer service where they only update the high level status whether the application is in process or  decision has been made.

I went through the process personally and it is fairly simple and easy provided you have enough time.

Make sure to read the procedure carefully as you need to give your fingerprints before sending the application out to NY.
