Gangtok is very hard to live in. On a hill top.

Shillong is already spoilt, but is quite multicultural.  My wife's friend lives there. We visited her earlier this year

Belgaum is a great choice actually. Quiet little town, if one discounts linguistic fights between Marathas and kannadigas.

Close to Goa.

I'm pretty sad I haven't explored much of North India. Down south, nothing excites me.

Belgaum is such a beautiful place with a Valley ...has really good climate all around the year, even summers are pleasant and winters are so awesome...

Somehow Belgaum did not become so popular but glad, it still has not been explored ...there skirmishes between kannadigas and Marathas but it is a peaceful place...
