Lol... the main reason for recommending son in olden days is to increase the population. 

A Male can reproduce more in his life time than a female with multiple females.. 

Any kid is same pain and same crap to deal with now a days...

evvaraina (boy or girl) - you owe them till they are 18/21. after that  . if you still keep expectations out of them , you are making yourself a fool. that'2 why save equally for your retirement and for kids.
