Mr.CBN visited ISRO with Mr.Narendra Modi for the launch of PSLV and spent a day at Sri Hari kota, Andhra Pradesh and had multiple meetings and went through presentations on ISRO’s technology and innovations. Integration of Information Technology to reduce corruption and increase transparency was well implemented by Cbn in the last term.

In similar lines, he approached ISRO for technology partnership in Controlling Sand mafia and Mining mafia to start with and use the Space Technology services productively for the citizens of AndhraPradesh.

 

He requested the ISRO chairman to come with a presentation on how can we use space technology for AndhraPradesh’s governance. ISRO chairman met Mr.Naidu in lake view guest house to give a presentation on providing space technology for the community.

One of the details that Isro to help is to give data on how much sand was excavated in last 10 years, what are the current reserves of sand, which areas are endangered, where can sand mining be done and in what quantities to keep the ecosystem safe.

Govt to use this data to take preventive measures to save ecosystem by banning sand mining in endangered areas and to mine as per ISRO’s data. The govt decided to cancel the sand mining leases and to hold the sand mining by govt so that the ecosystem is conserved and ground water increases.

 

Redsandal wood is another precious resource that was smuggled illegally and was stopped by the encounters and arrests of the Smugglers in sheshachalam forests.To make use of redsandal and generate revenue for the govt of AP, Mr. Naidu requested data on how many Trees have been cut off in the last 10 years, how many Trees are in the reserves and count of trees as per age so as to plant new saplings and conserve the rare and precious Red sandal wood species. This data will be used by the govt to officially market redsandal wood in limited amounts to the global market and paralelly conserve the species.

 

The sattelite technology will also be used in Education, Medicine, Agriculture, Forest Cover, Ground Water and Surface Water to collect data and take decisions, Also to transmit Information to class rooms directly around the state for e-classes.

 

The team of scientists have recollected the days of 2002 when sattelite based technology was used to teach students in AndhraPradesh under CBN rule.

Mr.Naidu unvealed his Masterplan of leveraging Technology from the Sattelites Launched from AndhraPradesh to the Team Isro.

Isro chairman and the Team of Scientists were more than Happy to help AndhraPradesh with technology and data it requested.

This move makes Andhra Pradesh the first state to integrate Sattelite technology and services with the Governance.
