'100 Chiranjeevi's are not enought to save the Govt'

Hyderabad, Aug. 4: The CPI State Secretary Dr K Narayana has stated today that if  a crisis situation arose  in the Congress Party, even 100 Chirajeevis could not save the Govrnment.

Speaking to the media here, the CPI leader ridiculed the PRP chief Mr Chiranjeevi’s unsolicited  statement that his party would try to see that the state Government would not fall in case of a crisis within the Congress party. He said the Congress party would not allow its Government to fall, as the party and its leaders were working in the direction of making money.  The party would forge ahead amidst crisis, and there was no need for outsiders to interfere with the internal affairs of the party. The statement of Mr Chirajeevi that the PRP would support the Rosaiah government  if it faced a crisis, exposed the hastiness of the PRP leader, he added.

Commenting on the removal of SK University Vice-Chancellor Mrs Kusuma Kumari, he said that instead of coming to politics, Mrs Kusuma Kumari became a vice-chancellor.  He said that while they complained about 50 percent of the irregularities committed by her, the inquiry revealed 100 percent of irregularities.  He complimented the Governor for the decision taken against the Vice-Chancellor. He said that the Universities name and image has suffered because of her.       

On the Babli issue, the CPI leader said that  the dispute could be settled through political decisions. He said the Chief Minister Mr K Rosaiah has failed in finding a political solution to the issue.  He found fault with the Chief Minister’s statement that the issue would be solved slowly.  It is because of this sort of attitude of the Government tht the Maharashtra Government could go ahead with erecting the gates of the project.  The CPI was ready to join hands with the Government if it launched a peoples’ movement on the Babli issue, he added.
