Does anyone cook patties on skillet?

Turkey or beef patties. If yes, I feel it smells a lot after cooking.. Light ga canola oil pothe thaggudhi ani talk. 

Any tips?

I use a griddle to cook patties but use cooking spray before I put the patties on the skillet/griddle. That seems to help, plus my kitchen has a window which I keep open. 

Also I don't cook turkey or beef, only salmon burgers and chicken/black bean

Don't use oil, just use a good cooking spray. I use a coconut oil based cooking spray
