my parents never asked me to pray or go to temple. They did all those without forcing anything and it was more of a fun filled process rather than a chore for every festival. I was inclined towards that and learned how to pray, slokas, poojas etc by seeing them.

following the same with my kid. My 2 year old prays with me before bed time every night, for now it's a fun thing for him.

we used to decorate the house (it was not exhausting for us rather fun)

mom and dad used to cook delicacies like sweets for diwali, kudumulu for ganesh chathurthi, you get my point (it was not exhausting for them rather fun)

they made all those religious things enjoyable for their kin and at the same time they were having fun too. and YES, i am following the same with my kid because I enjoy it and hope if i am doing it right, He will enjoy too when he is old enugh.

fair question man. I'm only familiar with casteism among UP muslims. I don't wish to talk about it here.

I concede that casteism is a huge problem in all religions in India. Not just hindus.

if you have info on muslims, pls do post. Just make sure you don't criticize them unfairly.

for example, calling them terrorists is really sad. It has real consequences. many muslims are wrongly charged and spend life in prison.

you can put yourself in their shoes, and see how hard it is to be a muslim today, and do they deserve or need (especially the decent ones) mockery everywhere they go?

I mock only uppercaste Hindus. I don't mock Hinduism.
