I don't know what made you think that rahul is better.  if he really is then modi and shaw wouldn't have come this far.

Do you expect NAL and HAL to be tech transfer receiowmt companies and expect to build a fighter aircraft ?

One needs to see the achievements of these two Sarkari companies to understand what they are good at, producing trash. They did research about 20 years and came to a conclusion that they cannot manufacture jet engine. 

40 years and counting, all that they did was an LCA and still flying and testing proptotyoes. I fear this could turn as another flying coffin for the forces. 

Civilian aircraft project, Sara’s has been shelved. Home grown helicopter project is scrapped. These are the list just to start with. 

These two companies have wasted thousands of crores if money, time and effort. All thanks to Congress governments who have ensured dependability on foreign arms aobthat their pockets become full.

Em matladuthunnavo ardham avuthundha neeku? ISRO was also Govt agency. It takes years of infrastucure development and expierence for rokcket building or fighter jet manufacturing. HAL successully produced Flankers. Private companies can't play big role because it needs huge non-return investment at start (Don't compare with Boeing and LM) . No company will just invest their money without returns. HAL/NAL are not profit making companies. They are for deference needs. HAL/NAL are not efficient. That doesn't mean we have alternative now. The best way is to improve them or JVs with Private firms.

Considering our relationship with US & how much we owe US for providing so many job opportunities both at home & in the US, India should first prefer US when buying fighter jets etc., US is always special for us.

Second,  considering how much Russia has helped India back in the day, it is India's responsibility to buy weapons from Russia

US & Russia should be the only 2 countries that India should be buying weapons. France is not known for making weapons.

People whose brain is filled with local caste associations cannot see what it takes to handle the things at International level. USA did it and does it again and again. When PVNR was the PM, CIA did everything to stop India from conducting nuclear tests. But he did not give up. He laid the foundation and ABVP finished it even when he was heading a coalition Govt.

Coming to the present topic, yes USA does not want India to buy Rafales from France. Already India signed S-400 deal with Russia. India already violated sanctions of USA and buying oil from Iran. India was never in this comfortable position. Its because of self-less people like Modi India could do so many things.

A real leader (Modi) does it against all the odds for his country, where as Fake Visionary (like CBN) who survives on caste politics and takes credit for real estate and IT boom happened during his lucky years.
