when few regions are poorer than others, its very hard to design the perfect monetary policy.

almost everything is going to benefit southern states that educated their people.

India is on the verge of losing its hold on the states. 

taxes redistribution is okay. not a big deal. bihar gets more. no problem.

the problem is when Central govt imposes its central policies, asks states to follow them, when states have their own better policies.

for eg. NEET exam imposition on TN, and UDAY and a dozen other schemes which TN doesn't need, but are forced to follow. In fact it is detrimental to the state

nageshwar rao if he focuses only on tax redistribution, he's making an outdated point.

We are all one big family. All the states are children of mother India. Just because one child earns more, she doesn't give more food to that particular child. Everybody gets the same food. Tomorrow, things could change when one of the other children could overtake the high earning child. But things will remain the same.
