Nara Lokesh meets Obama & briefs on AP Smart City project

 

Nara Lokesh, coordinator of TDP Workers’ Welfare Fund on Friday met US President Barack Obama at Portland in US and has briefed him on the AP’s Smart City project, and emphasized on making AP the best destination state.

Lokesh has explaned Mr. Obama on the growth initiatives being taken up in AP and sought investments to the state.

“Lokesh explained Obama of Smart Cities project and also on how the new State is embarking on a massive growth plan by Chief Minister Naidu. He briefed Obama about AP’s new industrial policy and the smart city project. He also explained how the new industrial policy is attracting investments,” stated TDP.

The TDP sources added that President Obama had applauded the smart village concept initiated by the government of AP, and he had also conveyed his wishes to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu appreciating his efforts.

Mr. Lokesh has been on his 10-day US visit for attracting investors to the state, besides meeting several NRI entrepreneurs and business leaders with an aim to promote the Smart Village programme and motivating them to adopt their native village or any other village of their choice, and take part in the State’s development.
