What I read is that aurora could not handle those large number of save points on primeday. This was not even full fledged. Try chesthu unte it will click someday, but the longer it takes, the more it will cost them.

Larry said the same thing last year also. He mocked amazon, salesforce and sap. . As far as I know their own databases are costly and even new customers are not willing to move. Amazon is just one customer for them, but big financial companies and manufacturing companies are less likely to put their data on cloud. Some are scared that it will give insights into their strategy if there is a breach.
