Well, there were more than 6 crores population in 2004, estimated 4 crore voters. 

Now equate it with beneficiaries of IT. One lakh...two lakh...! Okay, let me inflate it put the number at 10 lakh beneficiaries. And imagine 4 dependents per IT beneficiary, that number puts up to max 40 lakh voters spread across 294 constituencies , that would be barely 13,000 voters max...and when the fight was bi lateral and winning margins were more than 20,000 in majority of the seats, what is the significance of so called hitech city then ?

remember, the numbers are best case scenario...actual numbers could be as less as half of what I said..
