He will end up like Trump haters here. By constantly criticizing Trump they have lost a lot of support. Look at them now, they almost have no chance of coming back to power in the next term. Criticizing someone for believing in religion is near political suicide in India. Infact, it will strengthen Modi even more. The only way to take away that power from Modi is by having someone equally prominent and religious to challenge Modi. That person should not be Rahul, but someone within the right wing. I doubt that there is anyone brave enough though.

India is not a bigoted nation. you grew up in it.. I grew up for a while in it. its people are not bigoted, in general.

Someone must appeal to that decency within Indians, even if its suicide in the short term.
