I don’t think NINA ( no income no assets but still loan eligible ) loans has to do anything with 9/11 . It is the effect of war between London and Newyork to emerge as World business/banking capital. Both countries trying to attract more banking investments went on to liberalize loans .. result .. loans to everyone and eventually recession
