TD leaders have been banking on the houses being built under the housing for all scheme to impress the electorate and pave the way for the victory of party candidates in urban areas. Both the state and central governments together have been offering Rs 3 lakh subsidy for each house under the scheme known as ‘The Affordable Housing Partnership (AHP) and PMAY-NTR Nagar. 

On the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development wing has been making the PMAY-NTR nagars as ‘walk to work-economic townships’ in parallel with gated communities. 

For the first time, monolithic shear wall technology, which is supposed to be the best technology in the world, is being adopted to achieve faster construction. Engineers claim that it is faster, safer, stronger, durable, disaster resistant and environmental friendly. 

As many as 3,63,268 houses have been sanctioned under the AHP scheme in 87 urban local bodies during last two years. This is in addition to 1,76,018 houses sanctioned under the Beneficiary Led Constructions (BLC). The deadline is 15 months for each colony to be completed after commencement of work. 

Ministers and officials of the Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDCO) have been closely monitoring the progress to hand over the houses before the elections next year. In fact 50 percent of the houses are completed and the rest are under various stages of construction, an APTIDCO official said. 

The colonies will have internal roads, external water supply, electrification, sewerage and storm water drains, social infrastructure such as community hall, primary school and anganwadi centre, primary health care centre and parks and playgrounds etc are also being developed in the housing colonies.

John Simon, superintendent engineer of the APTIDCO, said that there is no comparison between the old housing schemes and the housing for all scheme, stressing that these houses are on par with apartments built for the affluent. He said that each dwelling unit is provided with vitrified tile flooring, wall putty, NCL windows, ceramic flooring and doodling in bathrooms.

tell that..they are not granting money for these schemes..where our men can take up contracts...and fund party..

Regular schemes special ga AP chesedhi endhi man? Its for the whole country. Vallu adigedhi bifurcation lo promises. Ee schems ki kooda ivvakapothe..inka country endhuku? Btw, ee schema valla 2022 ki 20,000,000  houses completion ki pettukunnaru. Karnataka, Gujrath and Rajastan lo AP kante ekkuve kaduthunnaru.

that depends on how fast the local state govt can negotiate and show the work completion....

ikkada elections kanna mundu wortk strt chesi..adi kuda TDP khata loki veskundam ani try cheste...BJP vallu enduku oppukuntaru...

TDP Govt utilize chesukundhi. But valle chesukuntunnattu chepthunnaru. But thats different topic. But thread opening lo adigina question diffierent..edho AP ki special ga chesthunnaru ani. They did for the whole India. Being part of India, AP benfited. Ala theesuko.. State Govt katte taxes lo nunde ee scheme or NREGA schems lantivi nadipedhi. Its just for the whole country..nothing to do with AP or TG.

Most of the central government welfare schemes have been implemented irrespective of the disparity between states and central and its no secret. Allocations sometime differ depending on the political situations but it’s nkt as bad as being publicized by the TDP. It’s purely for political reason.

take the case of smart cities, urban renewal missions, gas connections, LED bulbs scheme, now the housing schemes, etc. 

if anything has to be blamed, then it must be the out of blue Singapore dreams in the name of Amaravati, which were not fulfilled and failed to take off...and TDP since then have been mudslinging...
