If a person of chief minister's stature does a posting in the social media, people take it very seriously, because they expect the chief minister would not make non-serious comments.

Every word of him would have a lot of value and if he really does a misleading comment, it would send wrong message into the people.

But, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who claims himself to be a tech-savvy and he has taught computers even to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, has made serious comments on the Narendra Modi government in twitter based on a fake posting in the social media about the neglect of South Indian languages on the plaque of Statue of Unity, world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in Gujarat.

The social media posting circulated an image of the plaque of Statue of Unity which had the name written only in 10 languages and from South India, only in Tamil, that too, wrongly written.

It later turned out to be fake and the authorities posted a real picture of the plaque which had the name written all the languages including Telugu: “Aikya Bharatam, Shreshta Bharatam.”

But Naidu did not bother to cross-check whether the image doing rounds in the social media was real or fake.

On Thursday morning, Naidu tweeted in Telugu saying it was unfortunate that Telugu language, which is the third largest language spoken by maximum number of Indians had no recognition at the Statue of Unity.

“As a son of Telugu soil, I am deeply pained in my heart for the discrimination shown against Telugu people even in such issues which do not require expenditure of even a single paisa. It is time every Telugu person should think about it and express their regrets for the rough deal given to Telugu language,” he tweeted.

Within no time, Naidu was heavily trolled in the twitter for his eagerness to blame Modi government for everything, without even bothering to cross check the facts.

Some even pointed out the plaque of Amaravati capital city in which names were written only in English, but nowhere in Telugu.

“Naidu has no moral right to point out the lack of Telugu language on the plaque of Sardar Patel statue, because he never respected Telugu,” a netizen said
