This is USB 3.0. Current devices are USB 3.1. It is obviously outdated technology where read/write speeds are slow when using USB 3.0. Always remember if you are getting a Tech device cheaper it means they are old stock or new refresh is coming and stores are trying to get rid of them (like thanksgiving) gimmick.
