ఉద్యమాల ఖిల్లా ఖమ్మం జిల్లాలో టీఆర్‌ఎస్‌ అధినేత, ఆపధర్మ సీఎం కేసీఆర్‌.. ఏపీ చంద్రబాబుపై నిప్పులు చెరిగారు. ఖమ్మం జిల్లాకు తలమానికంగా మారిన సీతారామ ప్రాజెక్టుకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కేంద్రానికి లేఖలు రాసిన చంద్రబాబు.. వాటిని వెనక్కి తీసుకున్న తరువాతనే ఈ గడ్డపై అడుగుపెట్టాలని హెచ్చరించారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రజలకు క్షమాపణలు చెప్పిన తరువాతనే ఇక్కడికి రావాలని, లేకపోతే ఊరుకోమని అన్నారు. అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల ప్రచారంలో భాగంగా సోమవారం ఖమ్మం జిల్లాలో జరిగిన ప్రజా ఆశీర్వాద బహిరంగ సభలో ఆయన ప్రసంగించారు. యాభైఏళ్లు పాలించిన కాంగ్రెస్‌, టీడీపీ ప్రభుత్వాలు ఖమ్మంలో పోడు భూములు తప్ప రైతులకు ఏమీ మిగిల్చలేక పోయారని మండిపడ్డారు.

తెలంగాణ ప్రాజెక్టులకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కుట్రలు చేస్తున్న టీడీపీ అభ్యర్థులకు ఓట్లు ఎందుకేయ్యాలని ప్రశ్నించారు. తెలంగాణ ద్రోహి అయిన టీడీపీని చైతన్యవంతులైన ఖమ్మం ప్రజలు తరిమి కొట్టాలని ఆయన పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఓవైపు సంక్షేమ పథకాలను వివరిస్తూనే.. మరోవైపు టీడీపీ, కాంగ్రెస్‌లపై కేసీఆర్‌ ధ్వజమెత్తారు. ఎన్నికల వేళ ఇతరపార్టీలు ఎన్ని జిమ్మికులు చేసిన టీఆర్‌ఎస్‌దే విజయమని ధీమా వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఖమ్మం జల్లాలోని ఏడు ముంపు మండలాలను నిండా ముంచుతూ పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టును నిర్మిస్తున్నారని వివరించారు. తెలంగాణకు ఎంతో కీలకమైన సీలేరు పవర్‌ ప్లాంట్‌ను చంద్రబాబు  అక్రమంగా గుంజుకున్నారని పేర్కొన్నారు. కూటమీ తరుఫున ఖమ్మం నుంచి పోటీ చేస్తున్న నామా నాగేశ్వరరావును గెలిస్తే ఖమ్మం ప్రజలకు నామాలు పెడతారని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. ఖమ్మం టీఆర్‌ఎస్‌ అభ్యర్థి పువ్వాడ అజయ్‌ కుమార్‌ మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ఉన్న నాయకుడని.. ఆయన తనకు కొడుకుతో సమానులని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

Information and Technology Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of plotting to stall Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project (SRLIP) proposed in Khammam district.

He said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief had written nearly 30 letters to the Central government seeking to stop the irrigation project. The evils he designed have failed to yield result and the State government is making efforts for the speedy execution of the project, he siad.

 

Rama Rao, accompanied by Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageswara Rao, Khammam MP P Srinivas Reddy and TRS Sathupalli Assembly nominee P Ravi, addressed a public meeting at Sathupalli town in Khammam district on Wednesday.

He said that the SRLIP, aimed at irrigating lakhs of acres in Khammam and Kothagudem districts, would greatly benefits farmers and public in Sathupalli Assembly constituency.

“We in Telangana want to be friendly with Andhra Pradesh. But Naidu was thinking otherwise,” he told the gathering and asked the public to judge the unholy and opportunistic alliance between Congress and TDP in right spirit.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder NT Rama Rao launched the party with a sole objective of getting rid of the Congress. Nevertheless, Naidu gave up that motto and joined hands with Congress just for the sake of power, the IT Minister noted.

He came down heavily on the previous Congress and TDP regimes accusing them of failing to address people’s needs. ‘When they were in power, there was shortage of electricity, shortage in supply of seeds and fertilizers, farmers beaten up, he said.

Things have changed drastically after the TRS government came to power in Telangana. In the beginning of the tenure, nine hours continuous free power was given and now 24 hour power supply for agriculture has been provided, he said and added that same was the case with seeds and fertilisers as abundant supply ensured that farmers do not stand in queue to get them. Those in the Congress and TDP governments in the past never cared for public, Rama Rao explained.

He expressed hope that TRS Sathupalli candidate Ravi would win the election with ease as senior politicians like Jalagam Prasada Rao and Tummala Nageswara Rao along with MP Srinivas Reddy were making serious efforts to ensure his victory.

The Minister appealed voters to elect Pidamarthi Ravi, who actively took part in the Statehood agitation, with huge majority. The party leaders Matta Dayanand, N Naresh Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairperson G Kavitha and others were present. He later visited Aswaraopet and Madhira Assembly segments.

These letters are not usually in public domain....
