prince143 Posted November 25, 2018 Report Posted November 25, 2018 Please throw some light on below questions 1) If individual has PR before marriage is it transferable to spouse after getting married? Or has the individual sponsor his spouse? What is the time frame for this sponsorship? 2) Can dependents work in canada with spouses PR? Quote

PR is individual status. You can have PR irrespective of Marriage status If your spouse has PR before marriage,it should not be any issue and question of transfer does not arise or required You can however sponsor your spouse's PR after marriage if she/he does not have PR.Time frame is around 8 months to 1 year.Depends on how perfect is your documentation (Please consult and immigration consultant or do research on internet on documentations/proofs as CIC may ask your evidence/proof of relationship from before marriage Yes,Dependent PRs (not Temp Resident or visit visa holders) can work with out any restrictions Quote
