The issue has started way back in British India. Supreme Court and Allahabad high court has accepted proofs dated back to 1940's, an FIR registered in 1948 and eye witness account of police constables in 1950.

and if @uttermost thinks its RSS or any other sangh parivar that has initiated it, FYI: This was materialised by Congress government, Mulayam Singh Yadav, V P Singh., Rajiv Gandhi etc. 

BJP/RSS/Sangh Parivar/Bajrang Dal have entered the scene in 1990's but through the 80's, It was Rajiv Gandhi who tried maintaining balance aftermath of the Shah Bano Bilkis case.

dude, I made no such claim. but its the political reality of the day that RSS will be the political benefactor if a Ram Temple gets built there. not muslims. 

muslims have next to no advantage to letting the temple built there.

Its was never the question of having an advantage, What advantage did hindus have by having babri masjid re-built there then ?

The local muslims never had any problem, it was a political move. First by Congress to tap the minority appeasement, then by the BJP to political gain.

what is wrong in accepting the wrongs in history?  atrocities against dalits by UC are widely accepted, atrocities on blacks by whites  too then why atrocities committed by muzlims be glossed over and put under carpet?

There were no muslims before those muslim leaders invaded and committed crimes in India... so where is the point to blame muslims in India or ask them accept it was their mistake?

btw, batman2, if muslims have to apologise to hindus for 'atrocities', then marathas have to apologise to bengalis, to tamils, dogras have to apologise to kashmiri muslims, kashmiri muslims have to apologise to kashmiri pandits. the list is so long in India.

India is not a monolith. muslims are not a monolith. hindus are not a monolith. muslims/Indians/hindus of each region have their own unique story to tell. go read some history.

the issue is who's now in power, and who politicizes this, and stands to gain from it. and if they will promise to let the issue go if the temple is allowed to be built. Advani did make one such promise a decade back, but it wasn't backed up with discussions. It was an empty promise from a man who desperately wanted to see a Ram Mandir there. 

you know, i know, the politics won't end if Ram Mandir is built. So stop calling me names for no reason, when you have nothing to add to the conversation. that unearned smugness is quite pointless.
