the issue is who's now in power, and who politicizes this, and stands to gain from it. and if they will promise to let the issue go if the temple is allowed to be built. Advani did make one such promise a decade back, but it wasn't backed up with discussions. It was an empty promise from a man who desperately wanted to see a Ram Mandir there.

It is one point of view, and I don't deny its authenticity. But its not the only one. Neither did history of kashmir start in the 90s. There was a kashmiri muslim's were treated as second class citizens by dogra kings before independence too. if you go  150yrs back, you can see mughal rule when the reverse happened to an extent. But through all this, one thing was constant. kashmiri pandits always a tiny minority, and occupied the highest positions in governance, and social life.  

nevertheless, what happened in 90s was unfortunate, and kashmiris have paid for it with hundreds of thousands of lives since then. 

anyway this discussion is not ram mandir. whatever I say will be construed as supporting kashmiri pandit exodus. Its bullshit.

It wasn't umar khalid, but the governor himself has written a book on it. and I can read.  and this governor is an RSS person. Rahul Pandita is a fake maoist too. he talks like a RSS sympathizer, while brandishing his work on maoists as badge of authenticity. nothing more. He's already been exposed as a tool of the right wing. But I don't deny the authenticity of his experience in kashmir as a kid.

The RSS governor accepts that he saw this coming given how dominant pandits were in kashmir society, inspite of being less than 10%, and were increasingly seen as pro India, and anti muslim. Add to that cross border incursions that amplified the scary atmosphere.
