Theoretically, what you said makes sense.

But here is what it has happened.

Suhasini, who was born as nandamuri...after wedding, she became Chundru Suhasini...until couple of weeks back she was chundru suhasini. Ticket ivagane, chundru became nandamuri again...

avasaraniki surname ni vadukuntunatu vundi...sontha prayojanal kosam aithe faraq padaud..kai public domain lo surname vadukovadam, not a welcome decision.

IF kalvakuntla kavitha, YS sharmila can, why not suhasini. why cry foul only on one person.

Changing surname is a suthi process . Women who worked  before wedding go with it so as to avoid headache of changing it every where. She might have properties on her name who knows their complications ? Just saying .
