US passport for infant?

6) Please note both parents and kid should be present for appointment

if only one parent can go then you need parental consent form DS-3053 and it should be notarized

7) pay fees

Typical time 2-4 weeks

Passport and Birth certificate will be mailed back to you in separate USPS envelopes

If you want a passport card along with passport you have to pay $15 more. passport card can only used for land based crossings (like driving to Canada etc), not much use for infants.

 

 

 For indian visa for the Kid  check which consulate you will fall under, go to CKGS website and read the requirements
