I was talking about reservation for hindus ikkada endhukante the point is about reservation for a religion (muslims).... I would have made a similar point for upper caste hindus if the point of discussion is about increasing the reservation quota for lower caste hindus... just comparing apples to apples anthe...

The only thing I have to say about this is, Tamil Nadu lo penchinaru to 69%, for other politically dominant OBCs/muslims.

there's a lot of criticism that is made against this, given how the neo brahmins (OBCs) are worse than the original uppercastes.

but its still much more preferable to a world where reservation is capped. that is, TN has better indicators than every large state in India. So the experiment is a success, for the most part.

about population.. since low income groups have the highest fertility rates (3.2 per woman all over india, and 1.5 for the wealthy ), it makes sense to get them to a certain level of income and education so the population can be controlled.

What to do man. india is a democracy. and leaders are compelled to listen to the loudest groups. There's no other way democracy can work.

And aa quota ni pass chesi implement chesaakey telusthadi, who benefits from it anedhi. whether its poor from muslims or the middle/rich.

In TN, according to its own records, its a smashing success. more than 90% of people who benefited from reservations are first generation learners. 

It will change in the future ofcourse, and the scheduled list of castes will have to change to include castes that were excluded by design. Now that is the hard part, because democracy compels you to listen to the numerically strong groups. lets see how TN goes about it.

If you are worried about forming similar entrenched groups in TG, yes, it will form. and they will refuse to give up that privilege in the future. But it is worth the gamble, given how prosperous the overall economy and society can be.
