CBN comes down to Cyberabad from Hyderabad

Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu had been taking credit of building Hyderabad and putting it on the world map. He had several times in the past that he had developed the city and the IT in it.

Now, ahead of the elections in Telangana, and attacked by everyone, mostly by Telangana Rastra Samithi supremo Chandrasekhar Rao and Minister K T Rama Rao time and again, Chandrababu Naidu had come down on his claims. He had said that he had built Cyberabad and not Hyderabad. His creation of Cyberabad and put Hyderabad on the world map, he said.

This scaling down on tall claims is seen as the realisation of how people are making fun of his claims. In the era of social media Chandrababu Naidu’s every claim is being trolled heavily making fun of him. While he continued to turn a deaf ear to this fun, the Telangana elections seems to have made him to come to reality.

The Thursday’s speeches of Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana on his contribution to the development of Hyderabad have come as some relief to the TDP leaders from the social media trolling. His supporting media in Andhra Pradesh too had highlighted Chandrababu Naidu’s speech, a shift from Hyderabad to Cyberabad.

The same media had highlighted his claims on Hyderabad for all these years. When he took the U turn on Hyderabad claims, his media too had taken the U turn to boost his leadership. The Telangana voters, particularly his critics from Telangana Rastra Samithi have successfully made him admit what he had done for the city in the past.

This shift in Chandrababu Naidu is seen as compromising with reality. This would help him focus on the ground realities rather than living in the media, particularly in the digital map. People in Andhra Pradesh want him to come down to the 29 villages of the capital region from his digital world. The graphic designs and the video shows on the capital Amaravati creates a lot of fun as the reality is different and is more visible for the people who visit the new capital.
