 జిల్లాలో ఘోర రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం సంభవించింది. డోన్‌ మండలం కొత్తపల్లె క్రాస్‌ వద్ద జరిగిన ప్రమాదంలో నలుగురు యువకులు దుర్మరణం పాలయ్యారు. కారును వోల్వో బస్సు ఢీకొట్టడంతో నలుగురు అక్కడికక్కడే మృతి చెందగా మరొకరి పరిస్థితి విషమంగా ఉంది. బాధితులు ఆదివారం సాయంత్రం అనంతపురంలో జరిగిన జనసేన అధినేత పవన్‌ కల్యాణ్‌ సభకు హాజరై తిరిగి వెళుతుండగా ఈ ఘటన చోటు చేసుకున్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఘటనా స్థలికి చేరుకున్న పోలీసులు కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు.
