I really enjoy your conversations, both of your conversations have some kind of thought provoking issues hidden in it.

same with venezuela. In fact, a footage shown by accident on CNN of the protests against the govt in venezuela had the funny incident where the protestors are saying, they were not able to start a new business, buy everything they want, etc.

its not poor people fleeing venezuela. Not yet. That crisis for Venezuela will come when Maduro (the current president) is ousted by right wing radicals. and he will be.

there was an actual venezuelan crisis couple decades back. An oppressive govt that took about 4000 lives in police action, and large scale looting, out of which Hugo Chavez rose, slowly as a leader.

the current 'crisis' is largely designed by the western 'capitalist' forces, and some part of the blame must go to Maduro's idiotic continuance of few anti business policies of the govt. but the poor people in Venezuela support their president.

the middle/upper middle class is angry, and is extremely violent, racist reaction to Maduro is what you are calling a 'refugee crisis'. Its not.

There's a social code that people establish as citizens part of a nation. To respect each other, and abide by the rules and laws.

but sadly bro, the right wing doesn't follow it. Or they follow it only as long as they can remain rich, and in control.

they don't have any code, and will fight for their share, relentlessly. Most of the time they win, by lying,, by cheating in elections.

but sometimes, like in Cuba in 60s, and with Chavez in the 90s, their lying/cheating is not enough to win back power.

and they lose it. They are okay for a while. 1 term, 2 terms.. but as their opponents keep winning, the strength of their vile propaganda increases multi fold, and it will go to the extent of requesting foreign power to invade their country (venezuelans asking US to attempt coup).

what you see in venezuela is a reaction to the current govt, from the upper and middle class.

and the Venezuelan govt is not even socialist, the way Cuba was. Majority of economy is still controlled by private sector. May be that's the mistake. Maduro should just confiscate all their wealth, and ask them to fcuk off.

the problem is, if he did, big brother US will invade venezuela claiming some bullshit reason. And also because Maduro has mortgaged some of their resources in exchange for foreign funds.

Its a mess. its solvable. nowehere close to horrible the way media portray it.
