After many attempts to come up with something that their vegan customers would like, McDonald's has finally succeeded. Last month, the fast-food chain added a vegan burger to the menu of Mcdonald Chicago. So, India's beloved Mc Aloo Tikki is now officially on the food chain's menu in the USA

While in India this burger is under the vegetarian category, McDonald's seems to have given it a vegan tag abroad.

“Plant-based protein is something we’re keeping our eye on,” said Lucy Brady, the fast-food chain’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. The burger includes a toasted bun, a vegan patty made from potatoes, red onions, tomato slices and seasoning of one of the most loved Indian snacks - samosa.

“Customers have expressed interest in items from McDonald’s restaurants located in India and we’re excited to offer them the opportunity to try the longtime vegetarian favourite, McAloo Tikki,” said McDonald’s owner and operator Nick Karavites. The chain has been testing the vegan burgers in other places too, including Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, the UK and Norway.

Let's see when the vegan burger comes to India. But, will it be as tasty as other McDonald's burgers?
