Well, that's okay. Indian banks need more money...

lets them collect such fees first and once it reached a boiling point, then the banks would be under pressure to invest and improve the facilities and services. 

Unnecessary bank's service charges ki bad loans ki link pettadam silly thoughts.

basic banking is still free..zero balance accounts vunayi...if people are not able to maintain balance, they should move over their accounts to zero balance accounts or jan dhan accounts...

This is clear irresponsibility on customers part and mainly, not having enough info on such products is the prime reason for such penalties.

Indian ATM penetration still very low when compared to the number we need.

Indian bank services need to provide more products but lack of funds and investment is a negative factor.

More number of branches are needed, but when people don't maintain sufficient balances, how can the bank run?

NO, Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi cannot be the reason to waive minimum balance charges.
